“Kill The Zombie”

I read today that the show Walking Dead has a saying: “Fight the Dead Fear the Living” This partly what inspired this digital enhanced Photograph.

Zombies can only be killed by burning them or cutting of their heads, or so I have been told. So, with in the photo I am burning the zombie. Yet, he is reaching out to me with pain in his eyes, begging me to stop. How could this be possible? I have always been told Zombies have no brain. I have always believed, that with no brain they can not feel pain, they can not think, they can not beg for mercy! They are an abomination! They must be cleansed from this Earth!

Wait! What if a Zombie has feelings? What if when you went to burn s/he begin to beg you to stop that the fire burned him/her because s/he truly did feel the pain from the fire? Then what?

This was my take on this digital photo, for those who Bully others and Gay Bash do so because they are ignorant! They do so because of “What they have been told” “What they believe”…those who are ignorant to diversity around them or to the fact that those who are gay are no different then anyone else except that they love another of the same gender.

Those who bully or gay bash truly go on “what they believe” because of what they have been told through the church, by their family, or through gossip, etc. Then they react out of fear, hate, ignorance – they cause pain and do it with a deaf ear, a blind eye to that which is being told to them by the one they are hurting..

So, this is how I came up with the idea for my digital enhanced photo.

Lets work together to Stop the silence…Stop bullying and gay bashing….think for yourself…learn that we are all the same human beings who are diverse people living on the same Earth. Lets find peace!

Exciting Things In the Works!!

Will it has made it through the editing process and now I just have to work a few details out with the publishing company Treering.com, then it is ready to be bought and published!

What you ask? My book of course I will be officially a published writer! “A Journey’s Unexpected Path” is being a photographic and poetic telling of my journey though life from my birth; to being misdiagnosed as a female at birth; realizing this misdiagnosis and taking steps to follow the path that I was meant for me to live, no matter how many bumps, trips, or bruises there have been along the way. I have also have had a lot of smiles, enlightened moments, and golden ring moments with in my life.

Each book will be $20.00 to be purchased, for full page, full color photographs with accompanying poems on each page to guide you through my life’s path to where I am today.

work, work, and more work

worked over 61 hours in a week and half. Today I put in unscheduled hours at the Gallery and I am working on a graphic design for Seven Chances organization. (http://sevenchances.org). They hired me to design a ticket for their Mad Hatter wine tasting and tea party event in May. Attached is my first draft of that ticket that I am designing. What is your thoughts on my design?

Been working on some posters of late along with other client’s photos. After my external hard drive crashed, one of my lap tops crashed and my phone has been acting funny – not been real thrilled with electronics. So, here is one of my recent posters.

Every Time

EVERY TIME

 Everytime I look at you,
 Everytime we hold each other,
It is as if it is the first time.
 
When we meet,
When I first saw you,
I could feel the air,
Flowing between us,
It was electrifing,

I couldn’t take my eyes from you,
Your gaze sent shock waves
To my soul!

I keep trying to look at other things,
To think of anything but you,
But, my mind and eyes,
Keep returning to you,
 
My breath keep catching,
My heart keep jumping,
Every time we parted,
I had to see you again,

No matter how sick I was,
No matter what,
I had to see you,
I had to feel that energy
Flowing between us once again.
 
Now –
Everytime I look at you,
Everytime I think of you,
My breath catches,
My heart Jumps,
It is like the first time I saw you!

“Ice Blue Metal Swirl”

I am really proud of this one. I am still cleaning out external hard drives. So far have cleaned out 400 pictures tonight alone – over the past week I have deleted close to 1,000 pictures off one external drive and I have four of them to clean up and out.

I also am editing pictures for client and re-organizing my studio as I had a door put on my open door studio this week. So, I have been very busy making improvements, hopefully for the better.

My wife and I have Dinner guest coming this Sunday so tomorrow I will be cleaning house in between working on photos and burning CDs.

Let me know what you think of the photo to the left. I am thinking of having it printed on Metallic in large format! All sizes are up for grabs but the large format metallic print will being my studio for sale, as well placed on my etsy site.

Guardian Of The Night

I have been working on cleaning out some external hard drives (I have 4) and making some inspirational posters. As well as dealing with some personal issues over a doctor. Perhaps I write a blog about that issue at another time. The poster attached is my most recent poster I have created and the background, the gargoyle guarded house is one of my favorites in our neighborhood.

I love going and looking at this house during the day or even at dusk. Imagining as if those magnificent guardians of stone are looking down upon us, watching over those who live there in that house. Stretching their stone wings after dark when everyone is asleep and scarring away all the bad spirits and wrong doers, Having taken an oath to guard and protect those who live within these stone walls of this house.

“Beauty” and “Beauty – 2”

I have been cleaning out an old external hard drive and found a scan of a original sketch which is only on a 3.5 piece of index card, called “Beauty”.

The scan of “Beauty” has been in my old external hard drive for past few years while cleaning out the drive I ran across it and decided I would finish doing the “computer painting” of “Beauty” and create “Beauty 2” for prints.

So, I have just finished “Beauty 2” this evening 3/17/13!
