Vision is the ability to see what is invisible to others – Jonathan Swift
Two-Part Saturday Series with Resident Artist Trinton “TrinityHawk” Garrett Saturday 01/19, 01/26; 12-3PM, $20 each day
A workshop for all artists of all levels about learning to see in a totally new way!
You don’t have to be a professional artist to take part in this set of classes! Just have an imagination and be willing to free your mind and look at everyday objects differently!
This first class will be a part of a series of classes, which will be about preparing yourselves to opening your minds to seeing the world differently. When Georgia O’Keeffe painted, she didn’t paint the WHOLE flower she painted just a leaf, or just the center of the flower; she liked to focus on just a small part of whatever she was painting. She isn’t the only artist who sees/saw things in this way or in “a different manner”. Many cartoonist sees things in a “tongue and cheek” manner. Alfred Arreguin, an abstract artist saw the world in colors and shapes.
For the workshop, please bring paint, pencils, markers or whatever your choice of medium is, as well as, something to paint/draw on (small canvas, wood, paper, etc). A ruler, pencil, scissors, two paper clips, and light weight cardboard (6×6 square) will be provided.
If you have any questions, please contact Trinton at firstname.lastname@example.org
Plus, don’t forget to bring your imagination!
